The best all-inclusive resorts in the US to visit this summer

Prime vacation time is officially upon us -- and if you haven't planned your summer getaway yet, don't fret, we have you covered.

Now, we all know that vacations can be super expensive, even after flights and hotels are booked. Between the meals, activities and transportation you need once you reach your destination, the grand total tends to add up every day of your stay -- which can often take away from the relaxation you're supposed to be enjoying. That's where all-inclusive resorts come in.

According to TripAdvisor, a resort categorized as such is a "hotel featuring an assortment of amenities, sports facilities, and leisure activities that are included in the room rate." We looked at about 60 all-inclusive resorts in the United States that had also been categorized as "Best Value" locales based on traveler ratings, hotel rates, booking popularity and travelers' own brand affinity and location -- and we chose our favorites.

Unsurprisingly, they're all sitting pretty in either Hawaii, California or Florida -- but who's complaining about that? So, go ahead -- take your pick and go and soak up that sun:
