Michelle Obama reveals that Barack Obama wore the same tux for 8 years

Michelle Obama is now reflecting on her time in the White House -- and she's pointing out the double standard in men and women's fashion.

While she wore hundreds of different gowns during her time in the White House, Barack Obama wore the same tux and shoes for 8 years. And of course, no one even noticed.

Speaking at the Apple Worldwide Developer's Conference she said, "Now, people take pictures of the shoes I wear, the bracelets, the necklace. They didn't comment that for eight years he wore the same tux, same shoes."

We guess this is proof that investing in a timeless piece always pays off.

However, this does illustrate the disparity of expectations between the genders. Women in the public eye experience censure if they don't show up dressed to the nines, but the fashion police never have anything negative to say about a classic black tux.

It might not have been fair for Mrs. Obama to fall under undue scrutiny for her fashion, but she did become a fashion icon. That's got to count for something, right?
