Genius Reddit user's sneaker hack goes viral -- and we're taking notes

We are forever changed by this sneaker hack.

Whether you're the type of person who slips into them for your morning jog, or the type of person who laces up to make it seem like you just came back from your morning jog, sneakers are a closet staple. Comfortable and long-lasting, running shoes give off an athletic, on-the-go illusion.

However, we can't help but notice one tiny flaw in running shoes, especially the ones with foam around the bottom (which happen to be most of them). They wrinkle and crease after only a few wears! Have no fear, however, because Reddit user PARTYxDIRTYDAN has found an ingenious solution.

Dan (we assume that's his name) took a blow dryer to the shoe's creases, effectively ironing out the wrinkles in the foam. He advises running the blow dryer on each spot for about a minute until it's smooth.

However, he warns it's quite a complicated process.

"Hot, the phylon definitely needs to get hot enough to become a pliable foam. After you apply heat don't put your fingers on the hot areas until they've cooled down or you could leave an imprint. It's a tedious process but just be careful of where you put your hands and aim the blow dryer," he wrote in the comments.

Another commentator speculates that a steamer would also do the trick -- but for now, we're sticking with Dan's hack.

They look as good as new!
