Gal Gadot's style transformation proves she's a superhero in real life
Gal Gadot may play Wonder Woman in the most recent DC comics' installment, but she seems to be a superhero in real life. Aside from receiving rave reviews in the highly-anticipated 'Wonder Woman' film, Gadot kicks butt in all aspects of life.
The 32-year-old Israeli actress has a slew of accomplishments under her belt, both on and off the screen. While it's quite clear that Gadot's incredible past has contributed to her effervescence, she's explained that she doesn't take this opportunity lightly. "I feel like I've been given such a huge opportunity to show the strong, beautiful side of women," she said to Glamour.
After being crowned Miss Israel in 2004, Gadot carried out her mandatory military service with the Israeli Defense Force. Her experience as a combat trainer at 18 helped prep her for the physically-demanding role as Wonder Woman. In training for her role, Gadot put on more than 17 pounds of muscle.
Gadot told Glamour, "Since I've started, I've gained about 17 pounds, and it's all muscle. I feel so much better now. When you feel strong, it changes everything—your posture, the way you walk. I look at photos from five years ago and think, Whoa, I was too skinny. It's not cool."

Oh yeah, she's an outspoken feminist too.
She said to Glamour:
"There are such misconceptions as to what a feminist is. Feminism is about equality. I want all people to have the same opportunities and to get the same salaries for the same jobs. I realize I'm doing what I want to do because of the women before me who laid the groundwork. Without them I wouldn't be an educated working mother who is following her dreams; I wouldn't be here."
Supporters of Gadot can't help but notice this strength come through with her style. Even just this week, Gadot made a statement by swapping her sky-high heels for comfortable flats at multiple spots along her press tour.
She's clearly mastered the daytime-to-red carpet look. From simple prints to sophisticated and flirty cutout gowns, she's been taking the red carpet by storm. Most recently, her ensemble for 'Justice League' Beijing stole the show in a sheer black gown, complete with detailed beading.
