This is what Americans prefer eating at their BBQs

Memorial Day is upon us, which means several Americans will be firing up the grill this weekend.

Based on data from the 140 million customers shopping in its stores each week, Wal-Mart revealed what exactly Americans are buying for their summer barbecues.

Compiling data from the Midwest, Northeast, South and West, the retailer settled the ketchup vs. mustard, potato salad vs. cole slaw and hamburger vs. hot dog battles.

41 states buy more hot dog buns than hamburger buns.
