McDonald's is making changes to its ice cream
Your next visit to McDonald's could leave you with a McFlurry surprise.
The fast food industry is on a trend to phase out the use of artificial ingredients from items on their food menu.
McDonald's started the phasing out process during the fall of 2016.

Fourteen thousand McDonald's stores will be affected by the transition, which includes removing artificial preservatives and colors from its vanilla ice cream items like cones, McFlurries and shakes.
Other chains on a similar path are Panera and Chipotle.
In another bold move, the burger giant is setting its eyes on using cage free hens in their chicken items by 2025.
