Hard Rock Cafe launches World Burger Tour -- complete with burger topped with gator tail

Updated

For all of us staycationing this summer, Hard Rock Cafe is hooking us up with local cuisines from around the world -- on top of burgers, of course.

From now until June 25, you can try one (or two, or all) of the Local Legendary Burger collection as part of Hard Rock's World Burger Tour.

"To celebrate the third year of World Burger Tour, we thought it was important to share Hard Rock's heritage with guests, and what better way to do that than through our Local Legendary Burger collection," Darryl Mickler, Senior Director of Research and Development for Hard Rock International, said in an emailed statement.

"For a limited time, guests from around the world will now be able to taste the unique flavors from cities like Cartagena, Colombia or Seoul, South Korea, without ever leaving their hometown Hard Rock," Mickler continued.

AOL.com editors had a chance to sample some of the collection, including the specialty burger: the Seminole Cattlemen Burger. The burger boasts a unique ingredient: tupelo-breaded gator tail.

Yes, alligator tail. While we were skeptical, we were all in agreement: it was delicious.

To accompany our gator tail (and other burger offerings), Hard Rock has specialty cocktails including their signature Hurricane.

Our local Hard Rock was in Times Square, and it was totally worth wading through the craziness to sample what Hard Rock had to offer. If you're wondering, there's probably a Hard Rock near you -- they're located in 74 countries with over 170 cafes. Hurry, though, because these burgers are only available for the next few weeks.
