Cocktail of the Week: Fun twists on champagne for brunch

Who doesn't love a delicious (and Insta-worthy) brunch cocktail? Sure, they're not hard to come by at your favorite restaurants, but don't underestimate yourself -- you can make them, too!

Fair warning: They're so good (and stunning), your guests may never go home! See the recipe breakdowns below (the 2-step champagne float couldn't be any simpler):

Champagne Lemonade

  • 1 cup of simple syrup
  • 8 cups of cold water
  • 1 cup of fresh lemon juice
  • 750 ml of chilled Moscato champagne
  • 1 lemon, sliced, plus 1 lemon cut into wedges for garnish
  1. Make a simple syrup by adding the sugar and water to a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over low heat. Stir mixture until the sugar dissolves. Then remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  2. Pour cold water and lemon juice into a large glass pitcher. Add the simple syrup and the lemon slices. Stir well. Pour the lemonade into champagne flutes, filling 1/2 to 2/3 of the way full and top with champagne. Garnish with lemon wedges.
  3. Garnish with lemon.

Champagne Floats

  1. Pour champagne into float.
  2. Place one scoop of sorbet into float.
