Police officer adopts hamster named Sir Henry after it was found inside a bush
Meet the Berlin Police's smallest recruit: Sir Henry the Hamster.
Officers found the cuddly critter outside a hospital after concerned patients spotted him crawling through the bushes.
They scooped him up and put him in a surgical glove box. An image shared to Facebook shows Sir Henry taking in the sights as he's driven back to the station.
Once there, he also checked out the officers' uniforms and equipment.
Eventually, he was taken to a local shelter — but not for long — as one of the officers returned to adopt him.
"Sir Henry has left the building," the police wrote on Twitter. "He now lives with an anonymous identity."
