If you want to find real love, find someone who watches HGTV

Forget online dating and The Bachelor -- if you want to find real love, you should get yourself someone who loves HGTV. Mashable theorizes you can tell a lot about people who watch the home improvement and lifestyle channel.

If someone gets hooked on HGTV, it shows they're likely curious and care about people, as the channel's flagship shows like "House Hunters," "Caribbean Life," and "Love It or List It" are all about people's lives.

With those shows, you can't help but judge other people's living choices -- and that would actually be fun to bring into the relationship. Shared hatred often brings out the sense of humor in people.

Also, when it comes time to finding a place to move in together, your partner will have some knowledge and ideas on getting the perfect place.
