Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis' surprising diet revealed

In a newly released memoir, "Jackie's Girl," written by Kathy McKeon, Jackie O.'s personal assistant of 12 years reveals shocking details about the former first lady's diet.

The book details the very strict diet Kennedy adhered to, which totaled around 600 calories a day, as Daily Mail estimated. According to Livestrong, it's suggested that women consume anywhere from 1,600 to 2,200 calories a day depending on their lifestyle.

According to the memoir, she was obsessed with keeping her weight at 120 pounds. However, she did cheat. McKeon recalls in the book that she did catch Jackie eating ice cream out of the tub in the kitchen late one evening.
