13 celebs who wore legit wedding dresses on the red carpet

What's the difference between that walk down the aisle and strutting down the red carpet? Not much to these celebs! Some celebrities have taken to basically raiding the Kleinfeld stock room when award season rolls around, opting to strike a pose in—get this—legit wedding dresses as opposed to the standard couture frocks you'd come to expect to see on the red carpet. Does this mean that it's officially acceptable to start to wear your wedding dress out and about after the big day? Grocery store, here we come! (Wedding aisle, frozen food aisle, again no real difference, TBH...)

From ceremonies and receptions to awards shows and their after-parties, wedding dresses are cropping up everywhere. Remember when you freaked over the idea of shelling out major moolah for a dress you'll only wear once? To hell with that! According to these famous ladies, bridal gowns are no longer limited to just, well, brides. In fact, they're becoming a new red carpet staple.

Just ask Sarah Jessica Parker, who donned a gown from the fall 2017 bridal collection of quintessential wedding dress designer Vera Wang at the Golden Globes this year. Beyoncé has also channeled bridal vibes not once, but twice on the red carpet. At the 2016 Grammy Awards, Queen Bey presented in an Inbal Dror wedding dress straight off the bridal runways. And then later that year at the MTV Video Music Awards, she said "I do" to wedding wear yet again, wearing a sheer Elie Saab number to the VMAs.

Meanwhile, other celebs wanting to get more wear out of their big day frocks have worn their actual wedding dresses on the red carpet, proving themselves to be relatable AF. Keira Knightley has been seen wearing her short, funky wedding dress casually out and about. And after model Liberty Ross tied the knot last year, she recycled her silky slip bridal gown for an Oscars after-party. Y'all are officially our heroes.

Browse all of the celebs who rocked wedding dresses on the red carpet, below. Maybe you'll be inspired to pull that tulle frock out from back of your closet! (To wear where, you ask? Uhhh... Got any award shows coming up?)
