These foods will help you fall asleep

It's 11pm and you need some good shut eye! But you're still thinking about the day you can eat your way to better sleep.

You need to go for the green. Lettuce contains lactucarium which is used as a sleep supplement.

Foods high in the amino acid tryptophan will up your zzz's -- like hummus, thanks to the chickpeas.

Also bananas and even cheese can help you sleep. The protein from dairy carries a lot of tryptophan.

Even those carbs bring on sleepiness, cheese and crackers anyone?

And drink up! Tart cherries used in cherry juice have been linked to an increase in the sleep hormone melatonin.

Don't forget to set the alarm!
