Man pretends to drop engagement ring in the water while proposing

It was supposed to be the happiest day of her life, but one bride-to-be was left shaken when her soon-to-be-fiance dropped her ring in the water.

Luckily for Natalie Ripley, it was just a joke.

Pash Canby decided to prank his girlfriend while proposing to her. He waited until they were on a boat during their two-week trip to Thailand where he got down on one knee, popped the question and pretended to drop the ring into the ocean.

He made sure to really play it up. Watch it all go down in the video above.

Ripley was, understandably, horrified -- especially when she saw two guys jump into the water to look for it.

Luckily, it was just a cheap knock-off ring that Canby got in Thailand. He had the real ring all along -- safe and sound.

After all that, Riply said yes and the couple plan on getting married in 2018.
