Relationship expert: Donald and Melania Trump sleeping in separate beds 'is not a bad thing per sé'

Updated

The internet went wild Wednesday when reports surfaced that First lady Melania Trump "refuses" to sleep in the same bed as her husband, President Donald Trump -- even when they are in the same state.

Now, while the claim may reinforce the rumors that Melania is "miserable" -- not only as the first lady, but also in her marriage -- one relationship expert is going against the grain, saying that their sleeping situation may not be a big deal after all.

Expert Madeleine Mason tells the Independent, "Sleeping in separate beds is not a bad thing per sé, in fact sleep experts recommend it!" However, she does go on to say that "the beginning of the end of the relationship" is likely near if both parties are not in agreement about the arrangement.

Since the source at the center of the recent report says Melania is "not interested in Donald, the presidency or anything involving him," it may be safe to assume that the sleeping decision is one-sided -- but at the end of the day, that's merely speculation ... right?
