Historian: Queen Elizabeth uses secret signal with her handbag to avoid small talk

Queen Elizabeth apparently has more in common with a baseball umpire than you think. Supposedly, the Queen and umps are both fond of using hand signals to get a message across.

A royal historian once told People that if she's not feeling your small talk, all she has to do is move her handbag to her other arm and her handlers will whisk her away.

And if you truly mess up, she'll spin her ring or put her bag on the ground.

Her husband, Prince Philip, also reportedly has a special handshake to get his people to move someone along, and Prince Charles likes to end on a joke.
