Ivanka Trump makes surprising style choice for the Governors Ball

By now, talk of Ivanka Trump's style isn't going anywhere now that she's first daughter. The world's eyes have been glued to her sophisticated yet glamorous presence since long before her father took office back in January.

More so than ever, everyone's interested in seeing how Ivanka will merge her new role in the White House and past responsibilities as a business owner, especially since major stores decided to cut ties with her line. But, at the White House's first formal event since the inaugural ball, Ivanka made a statement by wearing her own line.

Ivanka paired her $4300 J. Mendel polka dot gown with Garis2 dress sandals, which normally runs under $70. The heeled, strappy sandals come in black, platino and silver and are quite popular on Amazon.

"Just arrived home after an amazing night at The White House with @realdonaldtrump, @Flotus and 46 governors from across the nation," she captioned the photo.
