A Mike Pence impersonator in small shorts is circling Fashion Week

A Mike Pence impersonator is circling New York Fashion Week while wearing hot pants (temperatures in the city are below 40 degrees, yet the tiny shorts persist). Because what's a gay man bearing a stunning resemblance to the vice president, a man who has advocated for some of the strictest reproductive- and L.G.B.T.Q.-rights legislation available to lawmakers, to do? Don a pair of small shorts, call himself "Mike Hot-Pence," and take a bucket to Times Square, Planned Parenthood's Pink Ball, the Women's March, and now downtown New York to help raise money for pro-reproductive-rights, pro-L.G.B.T.Q., and pro-environment institutions, of course. Nothing says "not my vice president" like exposed male thigh.

He was last seen at the Rumpus Room on Monday night as a special guest, where his bucket was trained on Planned Parenthood. Though Mike Hot-Pence, neé Glen Pannell, does not appear to have a direct affiliation with either Fashion Week or Planned Parenthood, the organization has partnered with the Council of Fashion Designers of America this week, so it's all very on message.

Troll on, good Hot-Pence. Troll on.
