Carolina Herrera Fall 2017 is a picture of uncomplicated elegance

Carolina Herrera is one of those designers you can continually count on to bring you an effortlessly elegant silhouette. "To me, the less complicated, the more modern," she told Vogue backstage before her show.

The collection felt true to the Herrera brand -- especially when it opened with a major white shirt moment. Six looks came down the runway in a row, centered around a crisp white button down shirt, though each was dressed up in a new way to make it unique. With sashes, big oversized collars and western bowties, each on felt fresh and different.

The evening wear portion had a kind of casual ease to it, an elegance without the necessity to be overcomplicated or too detailed. The hair and makeup for the show had a similar feel, too. Models wore their hair parted to the side and pulled back into a tight bun and their beauty look was perfectly pretty.

The simplicity was refreshing. Take a look through the gallery above to see the entire collection.
