NYFW: Jonathan Simkhai Fall 2017 escapes to old-world Spain

Jonathan Simkhai wants to portray women as "a powerful force to be reckoned with," with his newest collection for Fall 2017. And it's something he's always done, making statements with body-con dresses and alluring silhouettes, cuts of lace and sheer elements.

It's a collection of escapism, too, inspired by the romance of old-world Spain, the stunning Gaudi architecture and regal kings and queens. With high necklines peppered throughout the show and extra elements of gold, silver and embroidery, the reference to regal glamour was definitely there.

Simkhai had Victoria's Secret Angels Jasmine Tookes and Romee Strijd walking in his show, and a front row filled with celebrities and influencers like Olivia Palermo, Cindy Bruna and Lais Ribeiro. Needless to say he's a beloved designer amongst the style set who were eager to see his latest.
