Avendaño wanted to give Cabello a fresh, glowing look to complement her beautiful, ethereal dress.

Step 1: Skin Preparation: Avendaño made skin a focus of the look by enhancing Cabello’s complexion by evening out her tone and giving it radiance. Avendaño first lightly moisturized her face and décolletage with Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Day Lotion. Then, he went on to apply Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Eye Cream under her eyes to plump and smooth the area.

Step 2: Face:  Avendaño used the Burt’s Bees BB Cream in Light/Medium to even Cabello’s skin tone using a beauty blender.

Step 3: Lips: To finish off the look, Avendaño applied a generous amount of Burt’s Bees Squeezable Beeswax Lip Balm to give hydration and plump to the lips. He then topped her lips with Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Oil in Whispering Orchid for a subtle hint of pink and shine. This was Avendaño’s hero product to keep her look fresh and ethereal.

Patrick Ta created tonight's red carpet look for Chrissy Teigen using The Makeup Drop, the original silicone makeup applicator.

Step 1: SKIN:  Patrick prepped Chrissy's face by washing it with La Mer The Refining Facial, prior to applying The Moisturizing Gel Cream to give her complexion a luminous and smooth base. Before any makeup, he added a poreless primer and hydrated her lips using La Mer Lip Balm.

Step 2: FACE:

Patrick used the Le Mer The Mist to cool down the face before applying foundation with oil to ensure an endless glow. Patrick used THE MAKEUP DROP to ensure that the foundation blended seamlessly into Chrissy's skin. "I love using The Makeup Drop because it doesn't waste any product." - Patrick Ta

To highlight under the eyes, Patrick used La Mer concealer -two shades lighter- to bring light to the face using THE MAKEUP DROP's tapered end to precisely blend under the eyes, before applying a translucent powder to hold the concealer in place and brighten.

Next, Patrick applied a highlighter to the high points of the cheekbones and blush to the apples of the cheeks in a bronzy pink shade before finishing the face with Sephora's Translucent Powder and a setting spray.

Step 3: EYES: Patrick created a bold eye using Sephora Copper Rush 291, Lucky Penny 220 and Pearl 285, and a smudged black liner. Next, he curled Chrissy's lashes and coated twice with black mascara and Mink Kiss Lashes in Little Black Dress.

Step 4: BROWS: To create a thicker brow Patrick used eyebrow pencil in a shade that was one shade lighter than Chrissy's natural brows.

Step 5: LIPS: To complete the look, Patrick mixed Sephora Liquid Mattes in 23 and with Sephora 04 liner with a clear gloss to top it off.

Rihanna's endless waves were created with Matrix.

"This was one of the unusual moments when Rihanna wasn't performing at an award show so we wanted to be a little laid back with her look. We wanted it to be super playful, carefree and youthful. Once she picked her dress, we decided to go for long, flowing, big waves--voluminous, just like her ball gown. We decided to color her hair that day, just a bit, to play off the orange of the ball gown."

  1. Wash hair with Matrix Biolage R.A.W. Nourish Shampoo ($25, Matrix.com) and follow with Matrix Biolage R.A.W. Re-Hydrate Mask ($30, Matrix.com) to make sure hair is moisturized before styling.
  2. Apply Matrix Style Link Volume Builder Mousse ($18, Matrix.com) to damp hair. Blow dry using the ghd Air Hairdryer, with the diffuser attachment to maintain natural texture.
  3. Once hair is dry, use the ghd CURVE Wave Wand to enhance and perfect waves.
  4. Flat iron roots with ghd Gold Professional 1" Styler to the top of the ear to nix flyaways and to create a bit of contrast.
  5. Add Matrix Style Link Airy Builder Dry Texturizing Foam ($18, Matrix.com) throughout for separation and texture.
  6. Complete the look with Matrix Style Link Volume Fixer Hairspray ($18, Matrix.com) for hold with movement.
