NYFW: Rag & Bone breaks away from convention with photo exhibition

Updated

This year marks Rag & Bone's 15th anniversary, so ordinary just wouldn't do. That's why CEO Marcus Wainwright opted for a photo exhibition instead of a traditional runway show during the first night of New York Fashion Week Thursday.

Wainwright told Vogue, "A runway show for Rag & Bone [this season] would have felt a little off. It just didn't feel relevant to what was going on in the world."

Instead, a massive space in the Meatpacking District of NYC was filled with photographs by Glen Luchford and Frank Lebon -- and the faces donning Rag & Bone in the shots were both familiar and not. Jerry Seinfeld, Kate Moss, Wiz Khalifa, Matthew Rhys and Mark Hamill were just a few of the featured celebrities.

As for celebrity sightings at the exhibition itself, we spotted Matthew Rhys with wife Keri Russell and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. Not to mention, the photo series presentation was accompanied by "damn good party" in yet another enormous space down the hall -- complete with custom drinks and a taco truck.
