NYFW: 'DWTS' pro Val Chmerkovskiy misses his VALENTINNICOLE show because of snow

You know him best as a professional dancer on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars," but as it turns out, Val Chmerkovskiy is a man of many talents -- including fashion design.

The 30 year old and his close friend Nicole Volynets unveiled the latest VALENTINNICOLE collection at the Lovage in NYC Thursday -- but there was one catch. Val wasn't there. The dancing pro revealed on Instagram that the snowstorm sadly kept him in Dallas, and he largely praised Volynets for the fierce line.

It was a family affair otherwise, though. Val's famous older brother, Maksim, stepped out with his partner, Peta Murgatroyd, to show support. The new parents welcomed their first child, Shai Alexander, five short weeks ago.

Aside from those famous faces, red and black plaid, sheer and plunging necklines took center stage on the runway.
