Children like their pets more than their siblings

Forget late-night bonding sessions with your sibling, because you know that's always going to end in a fight -- right?

A new study suggests kids may actually be closer to their pets than their siblings.

Researchers at the University of Cambridge looked at 12 year olds from 77 different families, and all of the kids had at least one pet and one other child in the house.

Scientists found kids had a more sturdy relationship with their pet than with their sibling. Experts say, cuddling with their dog gave the children more satisfaction.

The study also suggested a pet's inability to talk back made them seem more positive and non-judgmental.

Honestly, we get that.
