TripAdvisor reveals 2017's top 25 world's best hotels

There's nothing quite like the feeling of unlocking the door to your new hotel room, pushing it open to see a crisp bed, neatly arranged bathroom and, hopefully, a gorgeous view.

Now imagine this experience at 2017's best hotel in the world.

After combing through millions of reviews from around the world last year, TripAdvisor, the travel planning and booking site, selected this year's Travelers' Choice for Hotels.

The Aria Hotel Budapest in Budapest, Hungary, stunned visitors. Music notes quite literally float through the hotel, from violins hovering within chandeliers in the dining room to the mosaic of a five-member jazz band splashing the backdrop of the pool. A swanky rooftop puts visitors at eye-level with the bell tower of St. Stephen's Basilica and provides an uninterrupted view of the glowing Buda Castle, perched upon the opposite side of the river.

Only one North American hotel appears in the list of top 25 hotels in the world this year. The Nantucket Hotel & Resort took the 16th spot. Located just steps away from the ferry docks, visitors to the resort are instantly treated to a dose of classic Cape Cod with its quintessential graying shingles and cozy wicker chairs on the porch. Inside, the experience continues with airy white-washed rooms and nautical décor.

And you don't have to drain your bank account in order to have a world-class hotel experience. While some resorts in the top 10 average out to over $800 per night like No. 10, the JA Manafaru in the Maldives, the No. 8 hotel, Hanoi Le Siesta Hotel & Spa in Vietnam, is only around $100 per night when booking on TripAdvisor.
