4 fast-food items you should never order for your kids

Everyone wants their kids to eat healthy, but life can be hectic and sometimes a fast-food meal is necessary.

Go ahead and grab some fast food once in awhile, but just make sure to stay away from these items, according to Women's Day.

Don't order the cheeseburger, fries or chocolate milk at McDonald's (540 calories.) Same goes for Wendy's where the calorie count for that meal is 650 calories.

A hamburger, fries, milk and kid's ice cream cone is also not a good choice at Dairy Queen, totaling 900 calories.

Burger King is also a place where you want to stay away from the cheeseburger and chocolate milk, plus their apple sauce which altogether totals 480 calories.

Don't order the chicken little, mac 'n cheese, apple sauce or 1% milk at KFC, totaling 650 calories.

However, there is a healthier option at KFC. Try the grilled drumstick, green beans, apple sauce and Capri Sun for 205 calories.

Or head over to Chick-fil-A for the grilled nuggets, milk and fruit cup, also only 205 calories. Both these meals tied for the lowest calorie fast food meal.
