The winter essentials you need
In 2017, I'm making an effort to focus on what makes me happy. I want to spend as much time with the people I care about, take care of the body that was given to me and take the time to do the things I love (read, blog, yoga, etc.). If you want to see my full post on 2017 goals, read it here.
Overall, I feel that my goals are pretty simple – nothing too complicated or out of reach. I'm really going back to basics, as many do at the start of every year. You could say that my wardrobe mirrors this sentiment at the start of the new year as well. In general, I'm not too big on the fast-fashion trends. I like what I like, whether it's following current trends or not. I fill the majority of my closet with classics that I can wear year to year, season to season – mostly because I never like to let go of things and clothing is no different.
So this January I'm taking my style back to basics. Layering of classic pieces in new, interesting ways to start off the new year with a rejuvenated mindset. Basic turtlenecks with a statement scarf. Go-to sweater tights with a fresh denim mini. Favorite cozy socks with new, suede ankle boots. I think you get the picture.
