A cute and cozy look for Thanksgiving
Each year around this time I have delusions of grandeur, thinking that it will be a frozen tundra down here in Southern California. Then, I come back to reality and simply hope for a day that is mild.... and, if the weather reports stick, it looks like my wishes will come true this year. That being said, I'll be able to very comfortably bring out my chunky knit sweaters + oversized scarfs for a day of gluttony small indulgences
So, if you fall between über casual and dressy, then this look is for you. It combines the comfort of look one and a dressed up feel (albeit much less so) like look two. I envision it easily transitioning from pleasantries with your family, to cheers-ing to being together, all through the turkey feast, and well into after dinner movies by the fireplace. A cozy oversized sweater allows you to indulge in comfort (if that top button needs to be let loose... it'll hide that....), and the oversized scarf will keep you warm on an early evening walk (before round 2??). And, if you're into versatility, like me, you can mix and match all the looks together. Toss on the joggers with this chunky knit for a day of shopping.... or pull on the comfy thermal with the OTK boots and blush fringe scarf for another alternative. The options are really limitless.
A few other cozy sweaters that would be perfect for this look include this v-neck cable knit option (comes in several colors), an oversized turtle neck sweater (which I own in grey), or this super comfortable high low sweater.
And,happy Friday!! We're heading out to Deer Valley for the weekend, and I couldn't be more excited. It looks like they received a light dusting of snow yesterday, so I can't wait to show little miss! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!
