The military trend

When it comes to cooler temperatures, one of the pieces I invest in and focus on are coats. Coats are the best way to stay warm when the temperatures drop and a great way to showcase your style. My husband complains that I have too many coats in our coat closet, but honestly, it's the best way to try to look as chic as possible when you are too focused on not freezing your butt off.

A new coat has been recently added to our coat closet and it is this military coat. I love everything about it. I really like its double-breasted style. It is a unique look on your classic wool coat. The double buttons add so much flare to the coat and it is flattering due to its fitted waist. I am really digging the olive green color. It's definitely one of the colors of the season and it can easily transition into the holidays. Add a red sweater to this coat and you have created a holiday outfit with almost no effort!

Aside from the coat's style, the quality is amazing. It is made from an Italian luxury wool blend by Nova Fides Italy. Nova Fides Italy is a mill known for its quality and excellence in craftsmanship. The melton wool of the coat is tightly woven, felted, and heavily brushed to create an ultra soft feel and it is water resistant. Talk about a perfect coat.

I usually shy away from prints, but I decided to switch it up by wearing a printed puff sleeve top. I've always been a fan of puffed sleeves but usually they are too awkward to wear underneath a coat. However, these sleeves have a slight puffiness and can easily mold into your coat so you don't have the awkward tight feeling in the upperarms and underarms when wearing a coat. I'm definitely a fan and might pair it with some skinny ankle jeans and ankle-strap flats.
