These simple DIY wood pumpkins make great Halloween decor
So, pumpkins must be my "thing" this time of year. They are so easy to make, and there are so many low cost options to create pumpkin decor! This project is no different, making DIY wood pumpkins using a 4×4, the tutorial is so simple that I am sharing it a little differently. I have been on a pumpkin craze lately, I went on a field trip with one of my son's and his classroom to a pumpkin farm, we are going a s a family this weekend, and this is easily project #5 of pumpkins I have shared.
I warned you how simple this DIY wood pumpkins using a 4×4 is, which is the perfect type of project this time of year. Things are picking up around here with plans, family, friends and our weekend are booked up. I know everyone else is going through the same thing, but I am sure you are like me and still have that need to decorate. The deep rooted, cannot be ignored necessity to decorate for this lovely season we call fall. This project is just for those people, simple, easy, low cost and to the point. Lets do this!
I purchased a 4×4 and cut some varying length sizes. I am using three for this project, but you can do one or 10, whichever floats your boat.
You will also need some painters tape and circle stickers. I used these yard sale ones I purchased from the dollar store.
The next few steps are crazy easy, which is why I combined them into one easy collage. You all got this!
Stick the painted tape on the 4×4, I made two different patterns with it. Stick the circle stickers on another one. I wanted each rectangle to have it's own look and pattern. Once all is pressed in, paint with a bright orange paint. Wait for it to dry, then peel off paint and stickers. For some added whimsy I created a pumpkin stem from scrap wood and some green string. Sooooooo simple!
