How did you first get your start in blogging?

I was interning for an online start-up company blogging about fashion trends & interviewing designers at NYFW. Suddenly I realized that everything I was doing for them, I could be doing for myself. I had a little blog at the time and felt inspired to really focus on it and give it my all.

What inspires your blog posts on a daily basis?

The seasons inspire a lot of my content. Whether it's the season of my life I'm in or an actual season -- I typically line up my content to relate with real-time events.

How did you fall into the world of fashion and beauty?

I've always been a huge fan. The fashion and beauty world is so saturated (especially in the internet space!) so I knew if I wanted to make a career out of it, I had to dedicate a lot of time to understanding and conquering the digital space. My online platform has opened up so many doors and opportunities to me in the fashion/beauty world. It's cool because I don't claim to be an expert, I'm just a fan of all this!!

What's your favorite thing about being a blogger?

This might sound cheesy, but my followers know the answer to this. The best part of what I do is getting to meet all of my sweet friends from around the world. There's something so comforting when I'm visiting a new country and a Sazcriber comes up to me to say hello. Suddenly, it feels like I'm home.

After you've created something, how do you decide what goes on the blog and what doesn't?

My team and I have a pretty strict calendar schedule that we follow for managing and keeping up with content. I look at the calendar every month and organize what goes up and what doesn't. Having a content calendar is key!

What's the hardest things about being a blogger?

Finding balance! Sometimes you forget that your blogging world and your real world are two separate things. Everything exciting in your life doesn't need to be an Instagram moment. It's important to know when to flip the switch. I've struggled with this but I've gotten better.

What role do you think social media plays in helping you grow your blog and get your tutorials/information out into the world?

Social media plays a huge role in a blogger's success. I don't think I would be where I am today without it. It's great for cross-promotion to get people to visit your blog, but I try to also use it as an outlet to share intimate posts that won't necessarily make it on my blog or Youtube channel.

How do you decide what makes it onto your different social media platforms, i.e. what goes on YouTube versus Instagram versus Facebook, etc.?

It truly just depends. I don't really have an algorithm for posting - I just do what feels right. When in doubt, I look to my content calendar to help me map out my next move.

What do you hope for the future of your blog and your personal brand?

Whatever happens, I hope to continue inspiring people throughout my journey and and perhaps be a Girl Boss role model for the next generation to look up to.
