What it's really like going to NYFW

From the outside, NYFW is all about the most stylish fashionistas coming to basque in the greatness of one of the most iconic shows of the fashion world. Fashion Week is the epitome of all things fabulous, glamorous and chic. However what the interviews and pictures don't show are the hurricanes taking place backstage, the anxiety of reaching shows on time and racing around the city in six inch heels. New York Fashion Week is a whirlwind to say the least and these Lifestyle Collective bloggers are spilling all the inside details.

Spicy Candy DC said, "It can be super stressful if you plan it that way. It is important to enjoy the moment, disconnect from all the social media craziness and appreciate the art that comes with every show. Overall it's a fun experience, where you get to network with a creative community that loves fashion as much as you do."

The same sentiment was shared by Impossibly Imperfect as she said, "There is nothing really like it, it's a crazy, but fun experience! Fashion week has really become an opportunity too for influencers to meet up with each other as everyone is coming into town for this one week from across the globe. I'm actually going to parties, hitting shows or having dinners and drinks with blogger girlfriends from Dallas, London, Paris, Istanbul and San Francisco this week!"

Finally, Little J Style said it best by saying, "It's a whirlwind of activities, you've got to juggle directions, transportation, hotels, shows, events, and meetings and do it all looking chic. Managing time is an asset, you don't want to arrive late to any events. It is very glamorous and so exciting to see your favorite bloggers walking on the street to their shows. Celeb sightings are common, so practice your selfie skills! Fashion Week is a tornado of style, fun, and stress that leaves you wanting more."
