OnlyOnAOL: #NYFW truth: "Women come in all shapes and sizes"

Her dresses have been worn by Michelle Obama and Anne Hathaway. Marisa Tomei, a fan of the brand, sat front row at Zero + Maria Cornejo's spring/summer 2017 presentation Monday. (Watch our interview with Hathaway above).

The clothes were a veritable white-out, a dreamscape of loose, easy fabrics -- and models walking sans footwear.

"It felt right," says Cornejo. "The bare feet -- I wanted them to look sexy and half-dressed."

Cornejo's ensembles are universally flattering, a rarity in an industry that favors size zero.

"I'm surrounded by amazing women and they inspire me to do clothes for them. Women come in all shapes and sizes. If you don't feel well-dressed, you feel off."
