Hiking can be a fun bonding activity, especially with a pet. If your furry companion gets injured, however, it might turn into a nightmare.

Thankfully, such trouble was avoided with a kind stranger offered his help. A woman's dog sliced his foot, and could not continue to walk -- but his owner could not carry him for the rest of the hike.

The stranger, Dave, offered to carry the dog up the steep trail. He did not want money -- instead, he just asked for a photo. A user on Reddit posted it:

Kind stranger! While hiking this dog sliced an artery in her foot. A man happened to be passing right when this happened and it truly was fate since the girl could not carry a 70lb dog up the steep trail. Dave, wouldn't accept money or a gift card, he just wanted a picture. from pics

Dave's heartwarming act quickly went viral on the site, garnering thousands of comments.
