OnlyOnAOL: Victoria Beckham's new #NYFW mantra: comfort

Victoria Beckham's show is a perpetual highlight of New York Fashion Week. It's a welcome respite from the din and noise of a crazed series of shows.

There were two moments of silence before Beckham showed her collection on Sunday, which happened to be September 11. As ever, her show was elegant and refined; tea was served in the gorgeous atelier located at 25 Broadway.(For a few laughs, watch our interview with the "Fashion Police" gang above).

After her show, Beckham was friendly and relaxed backstage, and clad in flats.

"I've done it for a few seasons. There's so much running around. I gotta be comfortable. I might change into some heels for lunch with my husband. This has been me all week like this," says Beckham.

Her show was full of lace, velvet, satins. And there are even bra tops.

But Beckham was all about "fabric development," done in-house.

"Washing them and crushing them and pleating them and smocking them to make them feel new and fresh," says Beckham. "The use of color was really great, too."

And there were plenty of trousers. "I wear a lot of separates," says Beckham.

Backstage after the show, David Beckham -- who'd sat front row with son Brooklyn -- personally thanked the models for their work. A nice change from the tales that emerged from the Yeezy show, of exhausted and dehydrated models collapsing in the heat.
