400 students come to cancer-stricken teacher's house to cheer him up
Sometimes things come up that are just more important than school.
For the entirety of Christ Presbyterian Academy, cheering up a cancer-stricken teacher took priority over education for a while.
All 400 students boarded busses and cars to visit house-bound Ben Ellis.
According to Leslie Ponder, who works at the school and shared a photo of the event on Facebook, the students made the choice themselves.
They sang their teacher hymns and religious songs because, according to the post, he loves that kind of music.
"This is one of the many things I love about CPA..they will stop 'education' for a bigger lesson..a lesson of life, of love, of compassion, of community," Ponder wrote on Facebook.
The video went viral after country star Tim McGraw shared it on his Facebook page:
"A friend sent this to me today...Our thoughts and Prayers are with him and his family," he wrote on Facebook.
