Oprah makes 'big announcement for book lovers and readers'

Updated

If you're looking for a brand-new book to curl up with, Oprah is certain she has the pick for you -- and it's hot off the press.

The iconic talk show host announced her newest Oprah's Book Club selection Tuesday, Love Warrior by Glennon Doyle Melton.

Watch her announce it with great excitement below:

Melton, best-selling author of "Carry On, Warrior" and founder of the popular blog Momastery, says that she was compelled to write "Love Warrior" after discovering that her husband was unfaithful to her during a therapy session.

"I got into my car, and I sat down in my minivan, and I typed out an email to my sister," she explained. "And it said, 'I've never been in greater pain than I am right now.' And what I've learned about pain is that it is not to be numbed, and it is not to be ignored, and it is not to be wasted. And I am going to use every bit of this pain as fuel."

Even though the book originated from a rather heartbreaking experience, Oprah insists it's not without its fair share of humor ("It's so funny!") -- and she assures fans that single folk will enjoy it, too.

And despite the great pain she endured, Melton walked away from the writing experience with a bittersweet, inspirational sentiment: "I don't know if my marriage will be redeemed, but I know that I will be."
