Adorable Snapshot of West Virginia Police Officer Goes Viral

A state trooper is making headlines in West Virginia all because of one adorable photograph.

West Virginia Senior Trooper D.C. Graham was on duty when he arrested a woman for driving under the influence. In the back seat, Graham found a 1-year-old baby covered in vomit, feces and urine confined to its car seat.

Once back at the station, Graham, a father himself, cleaned the baby in the headquarter's detachment break room, wrapped the child in a towel and waiting for Child Protective Services to show up.

Local authorities said this is nothing new -- the West Virginia State Police Department encourages its officers to not only protect their communities but take an active role within them.

The child is now with a legal guardian. The mother has been charged with a DUI with a minor -- a penalty which could net her up to one year in jail and a fine of $1,000.
