A Long Beach, Washington dog named Charley loves to go for walks and run around, but doing so requires the use of a special wheelchair due to his disability.

On Monday night, that aid and a ramp were stolen from his home's front porch, notes KOIN.

News spread quickly, and a friend of Charley's owners launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise the hundreds of dollars needed for a replacement.

The $585 goal was reached in hours and far surpassed not long after.

In addition to donations came offers to help locate resources and get the dog back up and moving about.

Thanks to the generosity of many, a new custom set of wheels is on the way, and soon Charley will be speeding around the neighborhood once again.
