A recent study suggests that spacial reasoning at 6-months-old predicts how well a child will do mathematically at four.

Researchers tested babies' abilities to rotate objects in mental space, which is a key in the measurement of spacial intelligence.

They used eye tracking to measure babies' progress while they watched dual video streams similar to video games.

Children returned at 4 years old for more testing. and those who spent more time watching mirrored images performed better at math.
