Women without an appendix or tonsils may be more fertile

When you get your tonsils removed, all you can think about is the unlimited ice cream that's coming to your very near future.

Now, for women, there's something else to think about: spiked fertility rates.

Those of you who have had your appendixes out should listen up too, because this includes you.

According to a new study conducted by the University of Dundee and University College London, researchers have found women who have had their appendix and tonsils removed get pregnant easier.

They believe it is linked to either behavioral changes, or the removal of inflamed organs.

Doctors previously were worried these procedures could negatively impact women's fertility, impairing their ability to carry a child.

To the researchers' utmost surprise, the results of this study suggest that is not the case at all.

It is important to note correlation here does not equal causation. These procedures won't directly increase fertility, but they will help ease the fear of not being able to get pregnant.
