6 herbs you can easily grow indoors
You don't need to have a green thumb to create your very own indoor herb garden. These six herbs are so low maintenance that anyone can manage them.
The key to keeping your herb garden flourishing indoors is to make sure the herbs receive a lot of light. Place the herbs on a sunny windowsill, where they'll get five to six hours of sunlight a day.
As for soil maintenance, it's important to remember that not all herbs are the same.
Mint, chives and basil prefer moist soil, so you can't forget to water these herbs regularly and make sure their containers have proper drainage.
Rosemary, sage and thyme prefer drier soil, meaning you should let the soil in these herbs dry out between waterings.
Don't forget to trim your herbs often so they don't flower. The best way to do this is by cutting just above a set of growing leaves. This also promotes new growth.
The best part about this simple six-herb garden is that the herbs are such great cooking companions as well as health and wellness remedies!
