This new discovery tastes like bacon and is healthier than kale

Updated

You probably have tried eating healthy, and it worked for a while until you smelled bacon and jumped on it.

Now you don't have to give up your healthy habits to taste that delicious flavor that goes with everything.

Scientists just discovered a super-veggie that is even healthier than kale (don't pretend you've ever like its flavor) but tastes like bacon.

You need to thank the abalone, a rare shellfish that lives that we refer to as "the bacon of the sea" and lives in the oceans, for bringing this finding to light.

The beloved abalone, which you can apparently cook in panna cotta, spends its time feeding off a lettuce-like seaweed that grows along the Atlantic and Pacific coastlines. That seaweed is what gives the shellfish its bacon taste.

Meet the dulse, your new favorite healthy snack:

Does it look appealing? Not really, but it's the taste that counts!

You can grab your dulse dose form Amazon for about $11 a pack, but in case this super food didn't convince you, here is a gallery with more healthy snacks for you.
