It's official! Lena Dunham scores her first VOGUE cover

Yess... finally! After much speculation about whether Lena would land on the cover of this month's Vogue, check out her stunning cover and photo shoot. We're a little obsessed with the polka dots Lena is wearing on the cover (and her sultry smoky eye), and love how the glossy tied the color in with a bright red VOGUE.

The collection of photos, shot by the brilliant Annie Leibovitz, features a wide variety of ensembles. Lena told the magazine: "I love clothes that have eccentricity and wit to them," which is very apparent when you see the feathers, embellishments and bold hues of the Alexander McQueen and Prada pieces she wears (just to name a few). She also has two other very cute accessories: her pup, Lamby, and co-star Adam Driver.

Vogue's Nathan Heller spent time with Lena on the set of Girls, aptly describing the ebb and flow of the scenes made better by the genius of the combined actors, producers and crew. He states: "Dunham's ability to speak for a hyperconnected generation rich in entitled ambition but poor in practical know-how has carved a trenchant cultural portrait; in her shadow, TV comedy has started seeming relevant again-and very cool."

It's a must-see, must-read piece. See more of Lena's photo shoot and read her Vogue feature here!
