Bloomingdale's is having a major online sale through Friday -- Here are the best items to shop

Fall is approaching and its time to stock up on colder-weather essentials before the cold temps sneak up on us, whether that means a chic new coat, cozy sweater or flouncy long-sleeved dress.

Though it's too early in the season for retailers to start rolling out full-blown sales on fall favorites, some are offering early promotions to help you get your hands on some new apparel for a discounted price.

A favorite for seasonal staples, Bloomingdale's is running an online-only promotion through September 27 on items labeled 'Buy More, Save More with Code: SAVEMORE' on the site.

Shoppers can take off 15 percent of their total purchase when they spend between $150 and $299.99, 20 percent off when they spend between $300 and $399.99 and a whopping 25 percent off after spending $400 or more.

Included in the promotion are hundreds of jackets, dresses, blouses and more -- everything you need to put a little pep in your step as we head into fall.
