BIC is redefining shaving with a new gender-neutral razor

For most, getting the perfect shave using a razor can prove to be quite difficult. And if you identify as a woman, it can be even more stressful, as most razors marketed towards women tend to have fewer blades.

BIC, however, is shifting consumers' mindset in a revolutionary way.

The brand recently unveiled its newest product, Made For YOU, a brand new gender-neutral razor made to make all people get the best shave every time.

"Millennials and Gen Z don't want to be genderized -- they don't want to be grouped. People just want a good shave," Mary Fox, GM of BIC North America, explained. "For us, it wasn't going against anything or what's available in the market. It was truly about let's just offer the best shave regardless of the body part. The truth is, a lot of people shave universally so in order for us to get people to buy it, we had to offer the best possible product," she continued.

The product, which will be sold exclusively online at Amazon, claims to "ensure an ultra-close shave for all those hard-to-reach places – all at a fair price." The initial razor comes with five flexible blades, two cartridges and one metal handle. There are also two color options to choose from: nickel and teal.
