Infant formula recalled over contamination fears

A baby formula sold only at Walmart has been recalled by the manufacturer “because of the potential presence of metal foreign matter.”

More than 23,000 containers of the 35-ounce, 992-gram containers of Parent’s Choice Advantage Infant Formula Milk-Based Powder with Iron has been voluntarily recalled, Perrigo Company announced in a press release.

Any containers with the Lot Code C26EVFV and a “use by” date of February 26, 2021, should be returned immediately to Walmart for a refund, the company said.

No one has yet reported any negative side effects from the formula and the recall comes out of “an abundance of caution.”

Anyone with concerns is advised to contact their doctor.
