Hotel finds boy’s missing stuffed animal and sends adorable pictures of the bear’s new ‘adventures’

Coming back home after a vacation is depressing in and of itself, and realizing you left something behind only increases the difficulty of transitioning back to ‘real life.'

We all know the stages of losing a personal item — the realization, the panic, the frantic searching followed by retracing steps, calling places you may have been with said item at, asking people who were with you for clues.

And when you’re a child who’s lost their most precious and beloved stuffed animal on a trip far, far away from home, it can feel devastating.

That’s where moms become superheroes and step in — just like Anna Pickard who shared this heartwarming story via Twitter on January 7.

Pickard shared that upon returning home from a recent trip to Grand Hyatt Kauai in Hawaii, her son had realized that he had left his teddy bear behind:

Pickard then contacted the hotel asking if the staff had seen Sutro (the bear) or his new seal friend (also a stuffed animal) that Sutro had just 'met' on the trip, not exactly optimistic that she would get a response:

But the response that Pickard and Doozer (her son) received was more than they both could’ve ever hoped for.

Not only were Sutro and his new nameless seal-pal found, but the staff sent Pickard and her son photos of what exactly the pair had been up to since they’d been left behind in Hawaii.

Safe to say Sutro and the seal lived the life of luxury — spa days, manicures, renting cabanas by the pool.

Take a look at Sutro and his seal-friend's mini stay-cation in Hawaii:

And don’t worry — Sutro and the seal properly checked out of the hotel, like true patrons of hospitality.

As for Doozer, we’re sure Sutro will have plenty of stories to tell him about his trip.
