Matt Damon buys Brooklyn's most expensive property for $16.7 million

Matt Damon dropped a record-breaking amount for his new penthouse in Brooklyn.

The A-List actor and his wife Luciana Barroso spent $16.7 million on a six-bedroom condo in Brooklyn Heights, topping the previous record of $15.5 million, which was a was tied between a townhouse in Cobble Hill and a townhouse in Brooklyn Heights.

The new home is located in the Standish, formerly known as the Standish Arms Hotel, and offers incredible views of lower Manhattan.

The Bourne Identity actor and his wife bought the property through an LLC signed by his business manager, Gary Kriss, according to the NY Post.
