Following two top-five finishes so far this season, Woods is the favorite heading into the 2018 Masters. His return to Augusta National next week will mark his first Masters appearance since 2015.

With Woods dominating headlines once again, many are wondering just how much the athlete is worth? According to Forbes, the 42-year-old golfer had an estimated net worth of $740 million in 2016 and ranked 12 among the world's highest-paid athletes.

Most of Woods' fortune comes from endorsements from high profile brands like Nike, Upper Deck and Rolex, among many others. Just 10 percent of his income is from prize money, reports Forbes.

The golf legend has already won 14 Majors titles, 18 World Golf Championships and 79 PGA tournaments over the course of his career.

After going pro in 1996, Woods made history with his 1997 Masters, becoming the first person of color to win a major golf championship. At the time he also set or tied at least 27 Masters records, many of which still stand today, reports Golf Digest.
